The Carstairs & Community Chamber of Commerce (Chamber) is a dynamic group comprised of local business owners. We are governed by a volunteer Council who are elected annually. The Council sets policies and represents the members’ interests to promote the welfare of the Chamber and its members.

About Carstairs

Carstairs is located 30 minutes North of Calgary on Highway 2A within the QEII Corridor in beautiful Southern Alberta. Carstairs is an attractive place for those looking to escape the city but still have quick access to amenities. 

The Town of Carstairs takes pride in our "small town", and look forward to offering you our best, whether you are visiting or making your home here. We maintain our Community spirit as we grow through the help of the residents, service organizations and businesses. Like most small Alberta towns, an active pool of volunteers is the backbone for a large variety of sports clubs and community groups.  Our park space and pathways are extensive and very well maintained which fosters the community feeling. There are a variety of community events and activities going on throughout the year for all ages to participate in. 

The Town of Carstairs is committed to promoting and supporting business growth within Carstairs. This is highlighted as t he Town also maintains low business licence fees and no business taxes.
